My belief

I believe the key to good therapy is building a strong and trusting relationship.  Evidentially, it has the most impact in achieving successful outcomes.  It is my aim to offer a safe, non- judemental space that is compassionate and comfortable to enable you to explore and share tricky issues, process and reflect so as to enable your healing and growth.

I embrace difference and diversity. I accept everyone for their unique individuality and who they are.  Furthermore, I believe that there should be access to therapy for all which is why I offer concessions to those who may struggle to afford therapy.

In terms of the manner in which I offer therapy, I feel there is no one therapeutic concept that is a whole construct.  I feel that individuals are unique and will therefore have different needs at different times of their lives for different types of therapy.  They may also prefer one type of therapy or interventions over another. Therefore I trained as an Integrative Psychotherapist in order to be able to provide and offer a tailored therapy approach to the individual by being trained to incorporate many therapeutic concepts, techniques and interventions.

The Type of Therapy I offer

I draw primarily from person-centered therapy and am able to incorporate other therapeutic interventions and techniques which include:

  • Attachment focused therapy and Approaches
  • Psychoanalytic/ Psychodynamic
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), reframe narrative
  • Transactional Analysis (e.g., script and PAC work)
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts and inner-wounded child
  • Solution-Focused Therapy
  • Somatic mind and body healing to help you connect with yourself on a deeper level.
  • Grounding techniques, breathwork, Safe place , Tapping.
